An active sex life has a positive impact on health. Having sex three or four times a week reduces the risk of heart attack or stroke by half, according to research.
A British cardiologist studied 2400 men in Wales, to come up with this finding. At the start of the study, the men were asked whether they had sex once, twice or three or more times a week. During the follow-up in the next ten years, men who reported having orgasms three or more times weekly were half as likely to have had a heart attack or stroke.

There are a bunch of researches supporting this healthy idea worldwide. However, I have selected one of the most optimistic studies because, according to the survey by Ann Summers, sexual activity for Brits is far from three or more times per week.
British sex
The survey asked 2000 British people in relationship about their sex life (1). The results showed that 49% of Brits have sex at least once a week, while 19% have sex two or three times a week. However, 10% of answers said that despite being in a relationship, they never have sex at all.
Why can sex protect against cardiovascular diseases?
-
It is relaxing and enjoyable.
-
Older individuals. Frequent sexual activity may reflect excellent physical health.
- Regular sex is more likely when one’s emotions are under control, conversely, sexual activity is likely to decrease when one is under a lot of stress or is depressed.
- Sexual activity contributes to one’s total exercise for the week.
As all researches go in the same direction it is worth to try this weekly sex plan. Prevention seems to be the cure.
